Our Sand Gator™ Mastic Asphalt Patch is for “alligatored” and distressed pavement repairs. It has a heavy duty thick but smooth paste like feel that dries like a rock. It contains mineral additives, glass fiber, ground rubber and plasticizers making this a great alternative to hot mix asphalt skin patching without the setup and equipment required for hot asphalt repairs. This economical alternative can be used for skin patching and large alligatored area repairs prolonging future and more extensive pavement replacement in isolated areas and improves aesthetics. This is used as an asphalt patch for thin layer repairs can be applied with a firm squeegee. This is not tamped or compacted into place it is a blacktop patch that is ideal for large distressed alligatored areas but pliable and shapable in more of a thick paste like material.

SURFACE PREPARATION: Surface must be clean, dry and free of all dirt dust and debris.
Trowel Grade Crackfiller: yes this can be considered a trowel grade crack filler.
APPLICATION: Mix material well prior to using as is. Pour Sand Gator on “Alligatored” pavement areas and work with a squeegee. “Over sand” or broadcast a fine sand* over the surface to aid in drying and to assist in bonding to the pavement.
COVERAGE: Up to 20 ft.2 for patching alligatoring areas and bird baths in ¼” depth. Up to 80 linear feet of ½” X ½” depth cracks.
CAUTION: KEEP FROM FREEZING. Do not use when rain is forecast, when surface is wet or when temperature is below 55°F. Wash tools in water. Use a paint thinner if material has dried. Do not store in direct sunlight or where temperatures exceed 100°F. Container should be closed when not in use. Keep out of the reach of children.
